Bringing the Scandalous Story of. LA’s Other Basketball Team to Life
FX Clipped: Courtside Club – Lead Creative Strategist
I spearheaded the creative vision for FX Clipped: Courtside Club, a bold and immersive pop-up designed to bring the scandalous history of the LA Clippers to life, coinciding with the release of FX's Clipped series. Collaborating closely with FX’s marketing team, I led the pitch process, working to win the project and then guiding the execution of a high-impact experience.
The exhibit immersed visitors in the notorious downfall of former Clippers owner Donald Sterling, recreating the scandal through immersive audio and visual storytelling. Visitors were taken on a narrative journey, moving through different key moments of the scandal, including a throne photo-op inspired by V. Stiviano’s iconic visor and a powerful audio setup that replayed actual snippets from the leaked tapes that rocked the NBA.
As the experience unfolded, fans were able to engage in interactive elements, including an on-the-court moment where they could feel the energy of the scandal’s aftermath firsthand. The exhibit culminated with a courtside-themed photo opportunity and exclusive show-branded merchandise, giving fans a chance to "sit courtside" to history.
Under my direction, this pop-up wasn’t just an exhibit—it became a buzzworthy experience that captured public attention, blending pop culture, sports, and scandal with storytelling finesse. It brought fans closer to the controversial story and drove excitement ahead of the Clipped series premiere, amplifying the buzz and conversation around one of the biggest scandals in sports history.
